Commissioners Court Displays Lighter Side

With many of its members away this week the court had an abbreviated agenda and a brief twenty-minute meeting, which first concerned itself with establishing public hearings for traffic regulations for Ella and Bunton Lane on July 8th.

However, the court also addressed the ongoing lack of rain. Item 8 on the agenda called for, “Discussion and possible action for rain over Central Texas for several days.”

Hays County Park Director Jerry Pinnix provided the discussion. Afterwards several members of the court took action, and displayed their sense of humor, by brandishing water pistols and providing a brief rain shower in the courtroom. After the joke, the court adjourned and will meet again at 9 AM on July 8th due to summer scheduling.
