Bobcat Football Season Tickets On Sale

The Texas State Athletics Department has announced that season tickets for six Texas State football games are on sale at the Bobcat Ticket Office inside Strahan Coliseum. The 2008 season begins August 30 against Angelo State and includes three non-conference games and three games versus Southland Conference opponents.

After its season-opener against Angelo State, the Bobcats play two other non-conference home games against Southern Utah on September 29 and Texas Southern on October 4. All three of the non-conference games are scheduled to kick off at 6:00 p.m.

Texas State also plays three afternoon home games that are scheduled to kick off at 3:00 p.m. against Southland Conference opponents this season. The Bobcats begin their SLC home slate with their annual Homecoming game against Central Arkansas on October 18. Texas State also plays league home games against Northwestern State on November 1 and against Nicholls State on November 15.

Bobcat fans can purchase seats to the six-game home schedule at Bobcat Stadium for as little as $72 for adult general admission tickets and $60 for youth tickets. Adult reserved seats are available for $90. In addition, Texas State is also encouraging local families to purchase a Family 4 packages that includes two adult and two youth tickets for just $274.

Texas State faculty and staff can purchase reserved seats for $84, and groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $81 each.

Fans can purchase the 2008 football season tickets by calling the Texas State Athletics Ticket Office at (512) 245-2272 during normal business hours or on the internet by logging onto http://txstatebobcats.com/tickets. The deadline for 2007 season ticket holders to renew their seats is June 30, 2008.

Bobcat fans can also purchase tickets to Texas State’s road game at SMU on September 6 through the Texas State Athletics Ticket Office for $10 and sit with other Bobcat fans in Dallas.

  1. The Bobcats need fans to step up and buy season tickets if D1 becomes a reality. Also season ticket holders are the backbone of any successful college football program.
