ELECTION DAY

Although turnout is expected to be low, one of the more important elections of the year is going on today. School Board Trustee will be chosen by the voters for San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District (SMCISD.)

Polls open at 7AM and close at 7PM. The Hays County Elections Office at 401-C Broadway Street, San Marcos, is the polling place for people who live within the school district boundaries in precincts 110, 112, 113, 116, 206, and 336. The Martindale Baptist Church on Main Street in Martindale is the polling place for people in precincts 108, 301, 302, and for those who live within the boundaries of the school district in precinct 206. The San Marcos Housing Resident’s Office at 820 Sturgeon Street, San Marcos, is the polling place for people in precincts 121, 447, and for those who live within the school district boundaries in precincts 110, 113, 120, and 446.
