Debby Lawrence has been awarded the Melvin Jones Fellow by Lions Clubs International (LCIF) in recognition of her commitment to humanitarian service. Named for the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones, the fellowship is the foundation’s highest honor.

Lawrence is a member of the San Marcos Bluebonnet Lions Club and recently received a finely crafted plaque and lapel pin acknowledging her dedication to the foundation’s humanitarian goals. As a Melvin Jones Fellow, Lawrence becomes a part of the growing network of individuals who are committed to improving the quality of life for people locally and in communities around the world.

Lawrence has been a devoted Lion for 24 yrs and has served on the Bluebonnet Lions Club Board of Directors as President, Membership Director, Tail Twister, and Newsletter Editor. She currently serves as a Guiding Lion for both the Bluebonnet Lions and the Bobcat Lions at Texas State University.
