San Marcos High School students who were members of the Health Occupations of America (HOSA) chapter recently competed in Area and State level competitions. Listed below are the students who placed:

o Kat McClaughlin: 6th in Area for Medical Photography
o Amanda Maragente-Sharpe: 4th (Honorable Mention) in Area for Extemporaneous Writing
o Chelsea Soliz: competed for Area in Home Health Aide
o Jeanie Rodriguez: competed for Area in Sports Medicine
o Marissa Garcia: placed 6th in Area in the Health Care Issue Exam, allowing her to represent the high school at the State Conference.

Kathleen Murkot is the Health Science Technology Instructor at the high school and HOSA sponsor.
