Bobcat standout will vie for Silver Stars roster spot
SAN ANTONIO – Former Texas State standout and 2008 Southland Conference Player of the Year Joyce Ekworomadu signed a training camp contract with the WNBA’s San Antonio Silver Stars and will be one of 20 players battling for a roster spot.
The contract will run the length of training camp as the Silver Stars look to fill their 2008 regular season roster. A total of 15 players will be in camp trying to make the 11 or 12 person roster.
Ekworomadu is the first Texas State player to sign such a contract with a WNBA team after posting one of the best seasons in Bobcat history.
