San Marcos – Late Saturday morning the streets of San Marcos started to fill with all manner of motorcycles. The Harleys, choppers, custom built, and collectible two-wheelers all converged at the Tube Rental Pavillion of the San Marcos City Park for the ‘Roar at the River’ Bike Show and Rally.

The event featured food and refreshment vendors, a washer toss contest, a bike show and live music. Hundreds of motorcyclists compared their rides, enjoyed the gorgeous afternoon, and raised money for LULAC Council 4867. According to event coordinator, Richard Anzaldua, proceeds of this event will go toward LULAC sponsored high school scholarships and other community projects by LULAC Council 4867.

Performing at the event were Lonnie Key & Texas Connection, Stone Souls, Blues Burners, Disorderly Konduct, Hell “Camino”, Trio-Faze, and Texas Saints.

The ‘Roar’ came to a close around 5 PM with the announcement of the winners of the bike show.

CORRECTION:  LULAC Council 4867 was a typo and should have been written as LULAC Council 4876
