Student government elections end in runoff

The Associated Student Government is one step closer to deciding who will be the student body president and vice president for the 2008-2009 academic school year.

After two days of voting, no final decision was made, but four candidates find themselves on their way to a runoff election.

The candidates received a total 4,769 votes.  In the presidential race, Brett Baker received 47.2% of the vote.  Courtney Strange received the second highest amount of votes at 26.9%, putting him in the runoff.

In the vice presidential race, Brett Baker’s running mate, Thomas Moore, received 47.6% of the votes.  He will face C.J. Morgan in the runoff.

A date for the runoff has not yet been set.
