  1. The cover story photo of Representative Patrick Rose on a million dollar bill seems to imply something dishonest about Mr. Rose’s filing. Is this a case of only having his photo to work with or was there some message being sent by choosing that photo rather one of the other 15 people mentioned in the article?

  2. He’s the one with $500,000+ in contributions and a career total of more than $1 million, thus the photo illustration. I disagree that it implies dishonesty. It’s illustrative of the role of money in politics as the next story in this package explores in more depth. I’m also going to break out the basic numbers and top contributors for the candidates so readers don’t have to download the full filing. We’ll update these figures throughout the campaign year.

This is really good information and I look forward to reading this site everyday

    Thank you,

  4. Brad,

From what I understand, if you filed after Dec. 31st, which Nick Ramus and Matt Yound did, then you don’t have to file on Jan. 15th. I beleive the other candidates filed after Dec. 31st as well but I’m not 100% positive. Correct me if I’m wrong though.
