Chuck Norris doesn’t listen to the radio, the radio listens to Chuck Norris. If you like Chuck Norris, weenies or music come find the Captiva Music Group tent on the quad March 4-5.
Wienerschnitzel and NewStreamz will be sponsoring the event to introduce Captiva’s SXSW showcase along with the launch of “Above the Noise” radio show, a new podcast radio channel.
The Captiva team will be there handing out free hot-dog’s and T-shirts featuring their one of a kind Chuck Norris logos. There will be guitar hero contests and a lot of great swag giveaways, not to mention some real kick ass ninjas.
And of course, what would a Chuck Norris weenie roast be without some hilarious competition? The ladies of Captiva will be judging a Chuck Norris look-a-like competition where the winner will receive a round-house kick to the face!
Captiva Music Group has been hosting their unofficial showcases at SXSW for the last 12 years. This year will be their biggest with over 68 artists showcasing on their stage. The event will be held March 12th thru the 15th at the Troubadour Saloon on 6th street and will be free for 21 and up and $5 if you are under.
The weenie roast will also be celebrating the launch of Captiva’s new radio station “Above The Noise.” Chris Perez, founder of Captiva Records, will host the show and stay true to the motto of “all things rock.” The show will kick-off in March, and will be available for free on the web and i-Tunes.Email | Print
