University Drive closing earlier than planned for rally

From the city of San Marcos

University Drive in San Marcos will be closed at 6 p.m. tonight instead of 7 p.m. for the campaign rally for Senator Barack Obama. Bus service to the rally will start at 6 p.m.

Pedestrian traffic to Sewell Park will be closed at 8:30 p.m. The rally will be held at Sewell Park on the Texas State campus with the program starting at 9 p.m.

University Drive will be closed to traffic between C.M. Allen Parkway and Charles Austin Drive at 6 p.m. Sessom Drive also will be closed from Ed. J.L. Green Drive to University Drive at 6 p.m.
