Texas State University’s theatre and dance department presents Shelagh Stephenson’s bittersweet play, “Memory of Water” Feb. 7-10.
Directed by Debbie Swan, performances will be Feb. 7-9 at 7:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee performance Feb. 10 at the PSH Foundation Studio Theatre in the Theatre Center on campus.
Memory of Water follows three sisters reuniting after their mother’s death. The sisters squabble over funeral arrangements, their failing romances and their differing memories of their childhoods and mother. A mixture of dark comedy and drama, London critics hailed Stephenson’s play as “touching and hugely entertaining” and “a lovely piece full of humor and heart.”
Due to subject matter, the play is recommended for mature audiences.
Admission is $8 for the general public and $5 for students with a Texas State ID. Tickets can be purchased at the University Box Office in the Theatre Center, located at the corner of Moon Street and University Drive and available by phone at (512) 245-2204.
For additional information, call (512) 245-2147.
