Texas State University has released the 2008 football schedule and it will feature some interesting matchups. Three of the six home games come in the nonconference portion, beginning with visits by Angelo State, Texas Southern, and Southern Utah. The nonconference road games will be at SMU and at Northern Colorado (who defeated the Bobcats 14-13 in their last meeting.)

Southland Conference play gets underway on the road against McNeese State on October 11th. Central Arkansas will make their first ever trip to San Marcos the following week. In addition to Central Arkansas, Northwestern State and Nicholls State will also be visiting Bobcat Stadium in 2008. Other road trips will be to Nacogdoches, Texas to take on the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks, over to Hammond, Louisiana for a battle against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions, and Huntsville, Texas for the final game of the season against the Sam Houston State Bearkats.
