BUDA – The ground didn’t move beneath Buda in 2007, but the city changed a stripe here and there, especially on Main Street.
Gone from Main Street are heavy truck traffic and former Mayor John Trube. The truck traffic is gone because the city opened its long-awaited truck bypass at the end of July. Trube is gone because he saw the bypass opening as the right note for his exit after five years on the job.
Meanwhile, the city reached benchmarks in parks, government and law enforcement.
